Cooler Than a Mullet

The Timothy Long Classics Scholarship

Dr. Timothy Long, a professor of Classical Studies at Indiana University, has long been a friend of the Latin program at North Central.  From 1998-2007, he facilitated an annual research trip for our Advanced Placement Latin students to I.U.  He graciously met with our students each year over lunch and frequently invited us to sit in on one of his classes.

Dr. Long retired in 2007, and to thank him for all he did to further the cause of Latin at North Central, we established the Timothy Long Scholarship.  This scholarship is open to any senior who completes the application and is presented at our annual awards dinner in May.  Seniors may download the Application and must submit three copies to Mr. Perkins by the first Monday after Spring Break.

If you are an alumnus, alumna, or a friend of North Central Latin, we invite you to contribute to this scholarship fund.  It is a great way for you help our students and become a lasting part of the North Central Latin tradition.

To contribute, please complete our information form, which you may obtain here.  Make your check payable to:
